Why book your newborn photos early?

Here’s the thing about newborns: they don’t check your calendar before they arrive. They just show up, turn your whole world upside down, and somehow your days start running together in a blur of feedings, diapers, and trying to remember the last time you drank water.

That’s exactly why I recommend booking newborn photos before baby is born. Not because I’m trying to be pushy — but because I’ve seen how fast those first days slip by, and how much parents regret waiting.

Here’s what I mean:

  • Tiny windows – The best time for those curled, sleepy newborn photos is within the first two weeks. After that, babies start stretching out, waking up more, and suddenly they’re not quite so tiny anymore.

  • Your brain will thank you – Trust me, in the newborn haze, you won’t want to think about logistics. If it’s already planned, you can just show up and let me do the work.

"Newborns don’t check your calendar before they arrive. Planning ahead means you’re ready when the magic happens."

  • Spots fill up – My calendar, like your laundry basket, fills up faster than you think. Early booking means your baby’s already on my radar.
  • It’s about you, too – Booking ahead gives us time to talk through colors, props, and style so your session feels like your family, not just “generic baby pictures.”

Bottom line? These photos aren’t just for now — they’re for when that sleepy little newborn is suddenly walking across your living room. They’re for when you can’t quite remember how small their fingers used to be.

🍼 So if you’re expecting, let’s get you on my calendar now — before the chaos begins.
